About Us
The Institute of Certified Islamic Financial Analysts of India (ICIFAI) is established by a group of experts in Islamic Finance and Mainstream Finance with an objective to promote the practice of Islamic finance locally and globally. We intend to do this by being a leading knowledge centre for Islamic finance education and training not only from the religious aspect but also from the ethical outlook to everyone, irrespective of their faith and creed. Inspired by an increasing demand for Shariah-based products from various parts of the world, the Islamic finance services industry is entering one of its most exciting times since its renaissance in the last three decades. For the last decade Islamic banking and financial services industry has experienced a significant development. Now this industry has expanded into a viable and vibrant component of the global financial system.
Today, we can see that the West joining the race with the new entrants of the East in laying and expanding the infrastructure for a robust Islamic finance system. Yet, the number of Islamic Finance Experts is trailing behind. Against this background, ICIFAI has designed its agenda of creating world class professionals in Islamic finance. Our challenge is to develop individuals who are well-versed in Islamic Finance and Mainstream Financial system, yet able to thrive in this technology-driven age of global finance.
ICIFAI aims to bridge the gap between the theories propounded by academic world and the practical activities of the industry players. We are confident to do this with the solid backing of our faculty members comprising scholars in Shariah and modern finance as well as Islamic financial services industry experts. Our graduates are Islamic Banker, Islamic Insurer and Islamic Financial Planner. Our graduates are innovators of Islamic financial services, equipped with the technical aspect of the industry as well as the moral and ethical values of a decent human society.
